Personal Reflection:

This story is very good because it is about love and forgiveness. Therefore, I think this story can resonate children. Author gives many definitions about love in this book, and each of them is meaningful. What's more, the two definitions about love in this book are my favorite. First, Love means sharing. We always want to share everything with whom we love. For example, we share our feelings with friends. In addition, a kind of love makes me admire, which is spreading love to those in need. I once heard a story about this. A girl utilized her computer skills to set up a teaching website for elementary and junior high school students. The girl hoped that students who have limited learning resources could have a chance to education. Actually, I'm inspired by this girl. If I have enough ability, I'll help those in need. Second, love means forgiving. I think this sentence can be applied into children and parents. Even though children make a serious mistake, parents still forgive and teach them. It reminds me of a thing happened in my childhood. I once carelessly broke my mom's favorite mug, and I thought that I would be blamed by my mom. Nonetheless, my mom didn't scold me, and she asked me whether I got hurt. My mom just told me to be more careful next time. Actually, I felt my mom's love for me. What's more, in my opinion, forgiveness does not mean that parents shield children's mistakes. Children have already known that they are wrong, and what they can do is to make up for their mistakes. At this moment, more blames only make children guiltier. Therefore, forgiveness and support are the best way, and they are motivations for children to make up for their mistakes. To sum up, these two sentences are my favorites in this book.
